Susan, I'm a 2 time NaNoWriMo winner. '07 and '08. Sadly, I haven't managed to get either one of my novels in shape for the free author's copy "prize", let alone ready for submission. Novel # 1 is right at 50K and is a pretty painful read for me as it basically explores my existential despair after the death of my grandson combined with world events from my old days as a political blogger. Novel #2 still needs 100K or so words to fill out and wrap up the story.(But I think its a REALLY good story! Haha) Then there's the 30K or so of my first novel attempt that needs to be a damned trilogy. Waaahhhh! I suck without a deadline.
