Trevor Fiction: The Naked Jumble

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

So it’s Friday and I wasn’t going to do this week’s Three Word Wednesday prompt. I’m busy, as you guys can tell by my lack of Three Word Wednesday and Friday Flashes.

But I opened the feed in my reader anyway and checked out the words. Just in case they inspired me.

Then I went and got myself a new keyboard.

Because, you see, this week’s Three Word Wednesday’s three words are: grin, jumble, and naked.

For real?

Are you sure about that?

Let’s stop and think about this, shall we? Grin. Jumble. Naked.

C’mon. I don’t even have to write this.

Or, if I do, it’ll look like this:

Trevor. Naked jumble. Grin.

There you go. Like you hadn’t already envisioned this, yourselves.

LOL! Yep, that’s exactly what I expected. Only with a few more words around it. But what they heck, save it for the next book.

Hey, come link yourself in Serialists. Yeah, this isn’t really what I’m after, but it’s close enough.

Writing is fun but also hell too. I agonize over prompts, and hope something I have already written can be tweaked into submission. Sometimes I take the words to bed with me scribble a few phrases and in the morning out pops the answer…sometimes! I tend to write the prompt word(s) at the top of the page and just write anything to start and then cross off the words (as in 3WW) as I can fit them in. I don’t let the words interfere with my story! In this way they are usually seamless in the narrative. Thanks for you visit and look forward to reading your future work.

Old Egg! I, too, agonize. And then Susan (hi, I’m new to your site, I’m Amy) does a little wordplay and voila! OK, maybe it’s not your fanciest writing, hon, but you know what? The whole damned post WORKS because of the story you told. I loved it. Amy Barlow Liberatore
