Sometimes, you need something a little less straightforward than “send your editor your manuscript and get it back all marked up.”

Sometimes, you are struggling with an element, a piece of the writer’s craft, and you want to address it more directly, in a dialogue that continues over time.

Sometimes, you just need to have your hand held and hear that your instincts are, indeed, right on. Or that they’ve gone slightly off track and so now you need suggestions how to fix things before you wind up trashing your entire project. That’s a lot of sweat, blood, time, and love. You’re wise to catch it early.

Sometimes, you want to reserve my time to help you brainstorm and plot your novel.

Susan’s here to help, of course. Whatever you need, for a flat fee. We can — and will — go back and forth as many times as you need. And while you may not get an immediate pass to Go To The Head of the Queue, you’ll still get priority attention and communication. The pass for Intensive, Tailored Work comes with the coaching package. We won’t let you down.

Best of all? No subcontractors, unless you and Susan agree at the very beginning. It’s you and the primo editor around here, one on one, working on craft, helping you put out the best book possible.

How can that go wrong?

Of course, you’ve got to be willing to do the hard work. This is, after all, going to be YOUR book, not mine. It’s your vision, your baby. And that means I can guide, I can lead, I can cajole and tease and even be all passive-aggressive if that’s what you need, but I can’t write your book for you.

Think you’re motivated? Are your problems endemic through your manuscript and you need help getting them out?

Drop me a note and we’ll talk. I’ll give you pricing, we’ll discuss what you need, and we’ll go from there.
