One thing I’ve learned from the blog is that it’s all about who loves you. And the best way to show your love for someone is to hand out awards to them.

- 13 January — I was Nominated for a Preditors and Editors Reader’s Poll Award, in the category of Writer’s Discussion Forum. I wound up finishing tied for 13th place.
- 4 April 2007 — Robin presented me with the Thinking Blogger Award
- 5 April 2007 — West of Mars — the Meet and Greet was the featured blog at Thursday Thirteen
- 5 April 2007 — a blog called The Dragon’s Loss had the following quote: When will SHG ever get published because I really want to read Trevor’s Song.
- 12 April — Claire nominated me for some Blogger’s Choice Awards in the categories of: Hottest Mommy Blogger, Best Blog of all Time, Best Blog Design, and “The Blogitzer,” which was a category devoted to the best-written blogs.
- 14 April — I was given my second Thinking Blogger Award, this time from Milan.
- 2 May — My third Thinking Blogger Award came from Amy Ruttan
- 7 May — I was a guest blogger at JM’s Fiction Scribe blog.
- 26 June — Rockin’ Wench Award came from Rhian
- 3 July — Rockin’ Wench Award came from Red Garnier
- 15 July — The Rockin’ Girl Award came from She
- 28 July — The Schmoozing Blogger Award came from both PJ at the Urban Recluse and from Thomma Lyn
- 8 August — The Creative Blogger Award came from PJ at the Urban Recluse
- 15 August — The Nice Matters Award came from Jenny McB
- 17 August — The Thoughtful Blogger Award came from Amy Ruttan
- 21 August — The Nice Matters Award came from Joy Renee
- 2 September — The Blogging Star award came from Thomma Lyn
- 5 September — The Blogging Star award came from Red Garnier
