Kerri’s best friend and the first person she met in Riverview, Graciella is one of Riverview’s many drag queens. Graciella’s ambition in life is to be a clothing designer — a women’s clothing designer, of course — and she sets up shop in Kerri’s post-art-school, pre-Mitchell loft. She makes a large amount of Kerri’s evening wardrobe and is never shy about altering anything Kerri buys in a store.
She eventually leaves Riverview for New York with her lover, and emerges from drag. While she’s not the success of a Calvin Klein, she enjoys a nice boutique business.
