Nancy the Nanny

Wendy, the first nanny, actually has the better story, although she never appears in a book (yet). Kerri hired her not long after Troy was born because she wanted to continue painting and Mitchell was still on tour. Everything was fine at first; Wendy more than pulled her weight when Kerri was pregnant with Troy.

It was when the tour ended and Mitchell came home that the friction began. Not a territorial thing, as many would expect given the absent father and the omnipresent nanny. It was more of a personality thing.

Wendy quit in a huff one day when Mitchell came back home from a bike ride and didn’t close his bedroom door when he changed and showered.

Nancy was hired quickly after, and she fit it perfectly. In time, she became part of the family, so that by the time the boys no longer needed a full-time nanny, she began helping both Mitchell and Kerri with business things. She eventually segues into being their personal assistants and around for the boys.
