ShapeShifter is the mythical band first envisioned by Trevor and dreamed of by Mitchell. The name came about as a play on Trevor’s last name and in the early days, the guys tried to maintain a gimmick where each band member was a different shape-shifting animal.
The band was filled out by Daniel and Eric, and then later by Rick. Together, they rose through the ranks of garage bands, to club bands, to opening act, and then finally to headliner status, where they continued to draw fans. In real-life terms, ShapeShifter is as big as Metallica, one of my favorite bands, except they tend to put out albums a bit faster. Oh, and don’t forget that Broadway show they wrote and had no small measure of success with. You can view their discography, but please don’t ask for a track listing. That much hasn’t been revealed to me. Yet.
