Tony and Gene, the security dudes
Tony is the head of ShapeShifter security and Mitchell’s personal guard. Gene guards Kerri whenever she leaves Riverview, more for Mitchell’s peace of mind than for any real need. He becomes like an uncle to the boys.
One of Gene’s best quirks is that when he’s working, he has a habit of pulling out a romance novel to read to pass any down time. He’ll also often take off with Kerri when the band is on the road, accompanying her when she wants to shop or explore. More than once, they’ve been asked if they are a married couple.
More than once, they’ve said yes and laughed about it as the replayed the scene to Mitchell, morosely locked in a hotel room by his fame and recognizability.
