Thursday Thirteen: Trevor’s Song!

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Be sure to stop in and read my interview over at The Editorial Department!

Trevor's Song

1. It’s out! Go buy it.

2. Here’s a 15% off coupon code for the print version at Lulu: BEACHREAD305

3. Of course, it’s not autographed… you’ll have to buy a copy direct from me for that to happen.

4. Since the Lulu price is so high, I’ll cut you a break if you order direct from me.

5. Need it in digital? I recommend Smashwords.

6. Smashwords can do you up with whatever format you require. Even Kindle. (Me, I read in e-pub)

7. AND you can use the code for 50% off. (only until the end of the month)

8. If you need the companion books, The Demo Tapes (Year 1 and Year 2), they are FREE until the end of July.

9. You guys have waited a long time for this book. Too long.

10. I appreciate your patience.

11. Buy it. Read it. Review it. Talk to your friends about it.

12. Vive la Trevolution!

13. And before you ask, yes, there’s a sequel in the works. When you get to the end of Trevor’s Song, you’ll see why I mention it now… Go read!

Thursday Thirteen: As Random as it Gets

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

1. Both versions of Trevor’s Song are now on sale!

2. Buy the digital versions (that means e-book versions) at Smashwords, where the novel’s half-off and the Demo Tapes are free. Use the coupon codes you see listed, if five bucks is too rich for your blood…

3. Buy the print version at Lulu. Or direct from me.

4. I’ll be selling it direct for cheaper, once you factor in the shipping charges. I can explain why privately, if you’re curious.

5. I’m available for interviews and guest blog posts.

6. I’ve got a bunch waiting to be written, though. Summertime’s slowed me down.

7. Yesterday was the pool. Today’s a quiet day. Tomorrow’s the Science Center. And I’m too whipped in the evenings to do much writing. Ouch.

8. I need to get over that, and fast. The Tour de France is in full swing, and it’s wonderful to write in front of.

9. I’m pulling for Andy Schleck, I think. But I have other favorite cyclists, too.

10. Check out their thighs! Wow. Things of beauty, these pro bikers’ legs.

11. Watching the Tour makes me want to go out and bike, but I’m still sidelined by an arm injury. Every time I set eyes on my road bike, I pout.

12. I think the cat has a kidney stone. Or maybe a UT infection. Or both.

13. That’s about it… stay cool, everyone!

Deadbeat

All you guys who haven’t bought my book yet. Feel free to fix that.

Print
Digital (that’s an e-book, you deadbeat. Any fucking format your heart desires.)
or from Susan, who’ll only charge you like nineteen bucks if you’re in the States or Canada, which is cheaper than Lulu’s got it for. (Amazon ain’t got it yet. Deadbeat.) AND Susan will throw in an autograph for you. Hers? Mine? Order my book and see for yourself.

Susan’s Book Talk: And GO

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

If you saw my Facebook status last night (If Any Idiot can self-publish a book, I clearly need to change my name), you may be able to figure out I’m hung up on getting you guys the print version of Trevor’s Song.

BUT you who like e-books are in luck. It’s now available for sale at Smashwords (oh, how I love them!), and since it’s the Summer Sale, I’ve discounted it. No, not down to free, like The Demo Tapes are, but half off. Which is a whopping $2.50.

Go. Spread the word. You’ve waited a LONG time for this.

And as soon as I get the ISBN up and running (if you are planning on keeping the book on your shelf and don’t care about an ISBN, I believe you can pick it up at Lulu right now), I’ll let you know.

In the meantime, if you’d like to get an autographed copy of the book direct from me, holler. I need to know how many copies to order… It’ll be $12.99 plus shipping.

Summer Sale!

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Yep, boys and girls, it’s time for the Summer Sale over at Smashwords. Which means that once again, I’ve put the two Demo Tapes anthologies on sale — you can get them for free!

Seriously. Free.

Just like I did during Read an E-Book Week. I’m doing it again ’cause I made a lot of new converts to the Trevolution. And with Trevor’s Song finally about to come out (if I ever finish the formatting for Smashwords, and put the ISBN graphic on the back cover of the print version), this is the perfect time to help spread the word.

Here’s the link:
And here’s the Coupon: SW100.

Share the coupon. Spread the love. You know Trevor would!

Need Demo Tapes: Year 1? Loving the Trevolution so much that you need Year 2?

I can help. Oh, can I help!

During the month of October, if you buy either (or both) of the Demo Tapes Twins, as I’ve taken to calling them (they’re fraternal, obviously!), use this nice little coupon and get 10% off your purchase.

Here’s the code: FALLREAD

Here’s the link. And remember, books make great Christmas presents!

(Need a different digital format? Check out my Smashwords store. Since you asked nicely, I made you a 10% off coupon. And yes, you Kindle users can get your copy at Smashwords, too! Ready? Year 1’s code: VY94U and Year 2’s code: FL86N)

ETA: You guys seem to want autographed copies. I’m not arguing, so the 10% discount will apply to copies you buy directly from me. ‘Cause I love my groupies!

Thursday Thirteen: Demo Tapes Year 2

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Yes, boys and girls, you can’t get enough of Trevor, Mitchell, and the rest of the gang. By popular demand…

1. On September 12, you’ll be able to buy The Demo Tapes: Year 2.

2. I’ll be debuting it at the Bridgewater Book Fest outside of Pittsburgh. That’ll be your first chance to hold it in your hands.

3. You can preorder it now from me. I take PayPal. It’s $13.98 (shipping included) if you’re in the States. I’ll mail out your preordered copies on September 14.

4. Need Years 1 and 2 for some reason? Until September 12, you can get them for $23.96 — a $2 savings on the books themselves.

5. Autographs are up to you. If you want ’em, I’ll give ’em.

6. Electronic versions are in the works. You can get Demo Tapes 1 at the Kindle store now, however.

7. If you’re outside the US, contact me for shipping charges.

8. Now that we’ve gotten THAT out of the way… what ARE the Demo Tapes and why do you need them???

9. If you’ve met the fictional band ShapeShifter here on the Meet and Greet, you know how much fun they can be. And how frustrating it can be to read their adventures out of order.

10. The Demo Tapes collections take one year’s worth of fiction that I posted here at the blog and puts it onto a timeline. This lets you follow the band’s growth.

11. You also get to revisit some old favorites, like the story of how Mitchell got his pierced ear. Part of that story made up a Thirteen, if you recall.

12. There’s even a bonus piece, that never appeared on the Meet and Greet. Pretty cool…

13. So c’mon. Join the Trevolution. Pick up either version of the Demo Tapes and have some fun for yourself.

Susan’s Promo Tales: Win a Copy of The Demo Tapes!

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Yeah, you read that headline right. Win a copy of The Demo Tapes, that brilliant collection of short fiction that YOU GUYS ASKED FOR.

The Demo Tapes: Year 1, if you don’t know by now, is a collection of the twenty-five outtakes that were posted here on the blog during my first year of blogging. (For reference, year four will be ending in April. You may have missed a lot!)

I cleaned them up, edited them to make them all purty, and … (drum roll, please, Daniel!) I put them in order. Chronologic order. The collection starts with the day Mitchell and Trevor meet and continues up through to the days after Mitchell’s an old married fart. Groupies who’ve read The Demo Tapes have said that this timeline gives them new insights into Mitchell and Trevor, making it WAY valuable to any West of Mars groupie. Plus, it’s portable! You can take Trevor in the car with you! Take Mitchell on a picnic! The options are limitless when you’re not confined to a glowing screen.

The contest is limited to the US only so I don’t go broke with the shipping costs, and there are ways to earn fourteen entries. Or just one. You choose.

If you don’t win this time, there will be more chances. But don’t hedge your bets. Head on over to Mama Dawg’s. Say hello. Check her place out. And throw your name in the hat for The Demo Tapes: Year 1!
