As of January 1, 2015, the non-fiction editing here at West of Mars will be restricted to non-fiction for authors of fiction.

What on earth is that?

Seems counter-intuitive, no? But it’s not.

Non-fiction for authors of fiction refers to the extras: the biographies, the author newsletters, the guest blog posts you may write. We’ll proof your bookmark copy, ads you may intend to take out in magazines. All that sort of stuff.

Get it now? The non-fiction for authors of fiction.

Another way to say it is the stuff you write to support your book.

Even if you’re not a West of Mars fiction editing client, we can help you, with no pressure to use our services. (We may, however, encourage you — repeatedly — to hire someone to help your fiction, even if it’s not us.)

Proofreading/copy editing: $.006 (or, $1.50 per 250 words)

And, as always, we reserve the right to impose a surcharge on non-native English speakers, due to the in-depth work and attention required.

We do NOT fact-check.
