Susan Speaks: World Cat Day

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

So I’m seeing all over the blogosphere (well, this isn’t the only place I’ve seen it) that today’s World Cat Day.

Around my house, every day is World Cat Day. I am cat furniture. I am the ears that get yelled in every morning at 5:30 AM. I am the one who schleps to PetSmart in search of Dental Diet (which has been discontinued! The cat better not hunger strike. That’s all I gotta say…)

But most important, I am CAT FURNITURE.

And I love every second of it. Except those 5:30 AM yowls in my right ear, but hey, it can’t all be paradise.

Go kiss a cat, will ya?

You almost completely get it, Susan! Except for the kissing part. I don’t like to be kissed. A lot of cats don’t. Those of us who don’t like to be kissed will generally take some freshly cooked chicken as a replacement, however.

Oh, and thanks for the link. 😉

I can so relate! I have 2 cats. The female is incredibly vocal, as well as incredibly loud! My male is a big goof and has this cute little squeak when he talks to me. They are both spoiled brats. I also have 2 dogs, so anyone entering my home must be okay with animal hair and sharing the furniture. Or, as you said, being the furniture!

ACK! World Cat Day on the blogosphere, and I missed it. But like you, I have cat day everyday at home. What a joy they are — purrs, and snuggles into soft fur. And laughter and fun and friendship. Purrs and hugs to you and your fabulous felines. <3

In my house, it’s World Cat Day everyday, starting at 0230 when breakfast time is announced by visits to the side of the bed and yodeling. I always left the house at 0330 for work, so the cats are used to getting up so early. But they are cute!

I completely missed World Cat Day, but like you, everyday is World Cat Day in my house. I often think that life is good for a cat in my house.

My sister is cat furniture too. She heats wheaties up for her cats. They also hog the cozy space in front of the fire.
