Weekend Hangout #10

Okay, it’s Friday and we’re going to try this Hangout thing one more time. Maybe it’ll work. I hope so.

Here’s something to inspire you. The cover of ShapeShifter: The Demo Tapes (Year 3). Awesome art by my good friend Lakota Phillips.

You’ll be able to buy the book June 15, if all goes well. I’ll keep you posted.

Before I go, here’s the Hangout rules:
Here are the rules…

1. Leave a comment here, on this post. Say hello to me, tell me what you’re reading, what song you’re jamming to… You pick, just say SOMEthing! Leave your link (I can’t get Comment Luv to work regularly) to your blog.

2. Go visit the blog link in the comment above you. Tell them “I’m from West of Mars” and hopefully something nice about their post. Because, you know, the best way to make new friends is to actually read what they write.

3. When three people have left a comment since your last one, you may play again. If no one’s commented for two hours, you may play again. This is the ONLY time you may visit someone other than the person above you.

4. If you’re new here, your comment will go into moderation. I’m going to try to keep on top of that, but do check back to make sure no one missed you. If you were skipped, leave another comment — even if you break the three-person rule.

5. Be nice. Have fun. Make new friends — that’s what this is all about. And, of course, I operate on the Commutative Principle of Friendships, whereby any friend of yours is a friend of mine. Which means anyone and everyone is welcome to play.

6. Game ends Sunday night, even if I post something again in the meantime.

I did always have a habit of showing up early to parties. 🙂 Anyone have a margarita?

Okay, I am currently reading Charlaine Harris’s, AN ICE COLD GRAVE. The song I listened to this morning, by request of the kids, was SAM’S TOWN, by The Killers.

I’m currently reading “The Bastard Hand” by Heath Lowrance for pleasure, and “NH1” by Ray Ellis for review (not that I won’t enjoy it too).

Susan, your book cover didn’t show up. My computer might have glitched, though everything else shows up fine. I did see your cover on Facebook and love it!

I’m reading Banned For Life by D.R. Haney. It’s rock fiction that takes on the punk rock movement. Have you read this one?

Great cover for Demo Tapes 3! I just started Kraken by China Mieville, also reading Lover Mine by J. R. Ward, and listening to Something Rotten by Jasper Fforde, because Thursday Next is fun!

This hangout thing sounds fun, so I’ll give it a try! Darcia, here I come! 😉

I’m currently reading “A Separate Peace” by John Knowles and “Trevor’s Song” by S.H.G. I’m listening to “A Passion Play” by Jethro Tull and “Ukelele Songs” by Edward Vedder.

    Hello, happy weekend, everyone!

I haven’t been to a concert in ages, but I’m going to see Ani DiFranco tonight with my best friend from highschool. Should be fun.

I’m going to break the weekend-hangout rules, though. I’ll visit the person above me, but since I already follow her, I’m going to visit the person above her too. horror of horrors!

Karen’s rule breaking ways have me breaking the rules, too… I think. Maybe? I have no idea what time it is in the US. 😛

I’m reading…nothing at the moment. I just finished up the Sookie Stackhouse series (except for the most recent one) on Susan’s recommendation. I have to write reviews for them all and then work on edits to my book. 🙂
