Welcome to West of Mars!
I hope you’ll notice straight-up that this isn’t your usual author’s blog. That’s because I’m not your usual author. Writing’s not my only passion. Rock and roll is right up there, sharing that number one spot in my heart.
There are a bunch of close seconds. Ice hockey (especially my beloved Pittsburgh Penguins). Reading. Having fun. Laughing and travelling and living life to its fullest.
One thing I can’t stand, though, is watching the publishing industry make what seem like so many of the same mistakes that the music biz made. That’s where the Win a Book section of this website comes in. Go on over; you’ll see my team and I post links to various book giveaways, as well as links to author interviews and guest blog posts other authors have written — all over the Internet.
Experts say a reader has to see an author’s name five to seven times before they’ll buy the book. I’m trying to help make sure that the names of emerging and mid-list authors get those five to seven exposures.
There will be more, I’m sure. West of Mars will grow as I am able to realize my dreams. For now, though, visit the Books page and find out more about what I write.
